Does he like me??? plz help!?

i've liked this boy for awhile and now im really confused. I know he probably liked me last year because he had all the typical signs, he talked about me to his friends, he knew a lot about me, we texted a lot, he flirted a lot with me and we were always bickering and doing flirty things and we had a lot of those romantic moments and over the summer i wanted to ask him if he liked me and before i could he got all defensive and started swearing and for a week or so we didn't talk and then i apologized because i had yelled at him too. since then we've been awkward like some times we are fine and its like we never fought and other times he's just mad. but anytime i see him he looks at me and knows im there. and his friends talk to me and pick on me for him and his best friend always mentions how i like him. but anytime i try to text him he either doesn't answer or is rude. and we use to always have cl together but now we only see each other in the halls so i never get to talk to him except on weekends and if he texts me back. oh and anywhere i go his friends are watching me and i know some of his friends tell him if i did something. btw he doesnt talk to a lot of girls and he's not flirty with anyone else. also the last time i saw him he told my best friend that he likes to only be mean to me because it's fun and he did this with a smile. what do you think? thanks!
