Is China Trying to Harm the U.S. via tainted food additives, etc.?

China is taking advantage of our corrupt political system to import known dangerous goods. Unless our politicians stop bickering and impose some safety restrictions on all imports we will see many other recalls and perhaps a major medical crisis. They covered up contaminated birds and shipped chicken parts under false labels and naturally our customs did not find it. Politicians have learned it is easier to look the other way and fill your pockets than check things out and do their job protecting the people.
