Do you think that society is out of control and is socialism the answer?

I think what has been lost (particularly in the last 30 years) is a sense of collective responsibility. I think a genuine empathy for other human beings (not in our family or country for instance) has been an unfortunate casualty that came with capitalism and a general shift to the "right". I think a more socialist agenda is the answer. With the most important issue of our time (the environment/global warming) I do see a more socialistic response. Regardless of color, race, socio-economic cirstance etc it is a problem for us all. I feel a sense of collective responsibility, most people are conscious of it and are trying in their own small way to do something.
